Without principle, what we are? Randomness. Those whose choices are made ad hoc, as the mood strikes them, as the money flows. Not having a principle to follow means that there is nothing to guide your decisions, there is no line that you stand behind or that you are willing to fight to defend. So many people would want you to believe that they do have principles, and that they do stand for something, but we find so many of these people swayed by any change in the current. They compromise their ethics, they subvert their morality. So much of the things that make up a life are fleeting, and it is only those few things – strength of character and principle – that remain with a man until his last breath.

They want you to think that these very things can be compromised – they can’t be.

Do not go with the flow in terms of morality for without principle there is nothing.
